SierraCon has considerable experience constructing various projects and additions for the greatest resorts and hotels in the Lake Tahoe area.  Projects range from renovations of meeting spaces, restaurants, kitchens and front desks to amenity improvements to new construction of hotel rooms.  The Lake Tahoe economy depends heavily on the hospitality industry, and SierraCon is proud to have worked for the most acclaimed landmark resort properties in the region including Edgewood Tahoe Resort, The Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe at Northstar, The Hyatt Regency Incline Village, The Landing Tahoe Resort & Spa and The Resort at Squaw Creek.

In addition to our personal passion for skiing in the Tahoe mountains, we at SierraCon have constructed many on-mountain and base area projects for ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe region.  We have maintained a strong and long lasting relationship with Vail Resorts and have consistently delivered projects at both Heavenly and Northstar annually for Vail.  Projects range from facility improvements in lodges and restaurants (such as the Michael Mina Bourbon Pub at Northstar) to infrastructure improvements (such as the Upper Tram Deck Replacement at Heavenly).  SierraCon is skilled at executing these difficult projects in very short building seasons where access is only possible with 4wd vehicles and projects are often located at 8,000 feet to 9,000 feet in elevation.

Luxury residential properties in the Lake Tahoe region are some of the finest in the country.  SierraCon has considerable experience with these complex and demanding projects in the Tahoe region, especially on the Nevada side where an increasing influx of buyers and market demand exists.  Projects range from higher density luxury condominium projects (Tahoe Beach Club buildings 1 and 2) to ultra custom lakefront single family residences (24 Crystal, 460, 470 and 480 Gonowabie) to residential community amenity projects (Tahoe Beach Club Clubhouse and Clear Creek Tahoe Clubhouse).   All of these projects demonstrate SierraCon’s expertise to deliver the highest quality of construction and finishes, all while managing the rigorous regulations and challenges of building in Lake Tahoe.

SierraCon’s niche is broadened by our expertise in constructing and delivering school projects and other publicly funded facilities.  While the structure of these projects is very different from other private market sectors, the skillset to deliver these challenging projects reliably in these mountain regions is very similar.  Projects such as the Lease-Leaseback modernization and new construction of the Mammoth Lakes Elementary School demonstrate the diversity of SierraCon’s team as we continue to serve the Mammoth Unified School District from preconstruction services through managing an active campus and school calendar deadlines.  SierraCon has also teamed with CORE Construction as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to construct the Tahoe Douglas Visitors Authority - Tahoe South Event Center in Stateline, NV.
